Charlotte’s Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Party

With my little girl turning TWO tomorrow (where did that year go!?) I thought it would be nice to share some photos and details from her First Birthday Party!

It took me the longest time to decide on the perfect theme for my baby girl’s first birthday!! After a lot of deliberation, I decided to theme her party after her favourite song – Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I chose a pink, gold and white colour scheme for the party and it was easy to plan from there.

My first step was to create the perfect stationery. I used beautiful fonts, stars, and glitter on everything!

The next job was to handmake some party decorations. I purchased some plain white wooden letters and covered them in gold glitter to spell ONE. I used my Brother Scan N Cut machine to create a sparkly star garland.

Cake Smash
About a month before the party we had a cake smash with Belle Photography and she provided a wonderful styled shoot using the Twinkle Twinkle theme and props I had made. I used her beautiful photos in the invitation design and also displayed the photos in gold and pink frames at the party.

Charlotte looked absolutely divine in her beautiful outfit which was created by Party Princess Australia and I found a gorgeous little matching star wand from Cotton On Kids for her to carry around at the party.

On the day of the party we borrowed a large white marquee to erect in the backyard and construction began! The backdrop was a large sequined tablecloth which I added a tassle tissue paper bunting to.
I used a riser and cake stands to create height and interest on the table. Pink pom poms, the glitter ONE letters and a white star (from Kmart) decorated the table. We had a variety of lollies in pink, gold and white in glass jars. The table also featured a beautiful cake from Little Bird Custom Cakes, macarons and cake pops by Lavender and Lace Cakes and Cakes In A Jar by Practically Perfect Portions.
Hireware included a beautiful tutu table skirt from Encore Event Hire and glassware from Platinum Invitations and Candy Buffets.
And of course, all of the stationery, styling and hand made decorations were created by me!

Charlotte’s Day
Charlotte had the most amazing day, surrounded by family and friends, and loved every bit of the attention.
I know she won’t remember her first birthday party, but I’m sure in the years to come she will love looking at the photos of her most spectacular party!
