On Saturday we celebrated Joshua turning double digits! Officially a tweenager, The BIG 10 years old.
The day was all about family, food, and fun in the back yard and lots and lots of colour!
A fiesta theme is as easy as it gets, you can’t go wrong. Just think ‘Bright’
I picked up lots of bits and pieces every time I shop and the night before just grouped them all together.
For Josh’s outfit, we got his Watermelon shirt from Alfaberry and we paired it with green shorts.
For the food, we prepared some colourful fruits and some bright coloured dishes. Everything was just as vibrant as it gets. We ordered some themed cookies (guitars, cacti, tacos and other Mexican elements) from Liz Cookie Jar. I added some colour to plain water with watercoloured themed Drink labels I got from Print and Party.
The backyard was decorated with lively and vivid coloured banners and balloons. To enhance the Mexican feel to the place, I added some Inflatable Cacti which I got from IS gifts. I also added some other Mexican Fiesta elements like Piñata, colorful masks, bright colored plants and flowers and some painted masks.
I always use my theming and decorations on a couple of smaller areas as you get a lot more impact from grouping it all together rather than it spread all over the place.
I couldn’t have done it with the help of some terrific shops mentioned above.
